Mt. Washington Lioness Club

Ever wonder what our club is about? We are a service based organization. The Lions and Lioness plan and implement the spring festival every year. We (the Lioness) raise money thru anything from pie sales at the fish fry’s, bake sales, and our biggest annual fund raiser is the chili cook off. All monies are returned back to our community in different programs that we do such as sponsoring residents at a nursing home that have limited family and income, we have donated to funeral expenses for children, we sponsor approx 50 kids off the local Pick A Star program, we contribute to the back to school funds for school supplies for local schools, we have recently started partnering with CASA and Hopes Closet. So far this fall/winter, we have donated over 25 coats to Casa for kids in the court systems. We have donated over 20 prom dresses and currently working on “goody bags” for a prom event that Hopes Closet hosts for kids in foster and kinship care. Some of the lioness also volunteer at the monthly Dare to Care food distribution, and lots of other great projects.
